The Quality Manager role within our design organisation plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with EASA Part-21 requirements and the effectiveness of our design management system. The role involves monitoring activities, both internally and with subcontractors, to verify adherence to standards and to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • DOA Handbook and Procedures:
  • Preparation of the Design organisation Handbook and related procedures in collaboration with the Airworthiness or other DO relevant department
  • Provide Initial and recurrent training to DO employee on DOA Handbook, Procedures and Part-21
  • Management of DOA employee qualification and working permits
  • Participate in the DOA Change Classification (Significant / Not-Significant) and EASA DOA Team Leader interface for significant changes approval.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
  • Monitor design organisation activities for compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Ensure proper execution of activities under the supervision of nominated personnel.
  • Verify the adequacy and compliance of all subcontracted design activities.
  • Independent Review:
  • Conduct objective reviews of design management activities through independent monitoring methods such as audits.
  • Establish and maintain independence in monitoring activities by involving staff not directly engaged in the functions being monitored.
  • Ensure that monitoring activities are performed in accordance with established plans and schedules.
  • Monitoring Plan Development:
  • Develop a monitoring plan outlining the frequency and methodology of audits and inspections.
  • Align monitoring activities with the organisation's oversight planning cycle, considering criticality and safety performance factors.
  • Non-Compliance Management:
  • Identify root causes and contributing factors of non-compliance.
  • Define and monitor corrective actions implementation to address identified issues.
  • Provide feedback to management on non-compliance findings and corrective actions.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, aviation, or a related field with at least 3 years working experience in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance monitoring within aerospace industry; or Graduation from a higher technical school (HTL) with at least 5 years working experience in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance monitoring within aerospace industry.
  • Through kknowledge of the Part-21 regulation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback to management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.



The position offers a statutory minimum salary of EUR 3.591,87 gross/month with the possibility of overpayment depending on your education, qualifications and previous experience.
