A Diamond Aircraft team was recently honored to join Aviation Academy Belgrade in celebrating their centenary. They marked the occasion with an airshow at their facilities at Vršac Airport, in which Diamond Aircraft pilots Martin Scherrer took part in our DA50RG and DA42-VI demonstrator aircraft respectively. Diamond’s formation flight was musically accompanied by Strauss’s “Vienna Waltz” – very apt for the Austrian team – and viewed by a crowd of around 15,000 spectators.
We’d like to say a huge “thank you” to the Aviation Academy Belgrade for their hospitality, as well as to Belgrade’s Yugoslav Drama Theatre troupe for their fantastic performance on the evening before the show.
