EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the largest General Aviation show in the world, opened its doors again from 22–28 July 2024, and Diamond was right at its usual spot next to the main entrance to present its incredible lineup.
Together with our U.S. sales partners Premier Aircraft Sales, Steel Aviation and Lifestyle Aviation, we showcased our beautiful DA50 RG, DA62, DA40 series, and DA20-C1 aircraft to potential and existing customers. But that wasn’t all: you could find sparkling Diamonds all over the EAA showgrounds, with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Middle Tennessee State University displaying Diamond aircraft, too.
The highlight of our week came on Wednesday, 24 July, when the FAA issued the validation of type certificate (VTC) for flight into known icing (FIKI) for the DA50 RG. The FAA management team visited the Diamond team at our booth to bring us the good news.
The DA50 RG is Diamond Aircraft’s luxury class, single-engine piston aircraft. With its large, five-seat cabin, the multi-award-winning DA50 RG moves more passengers farther and in greater comfort and style than any other aircraft in its segment.
