A huge “thank you!” to the wonderful team at KLM Flight Academy for celebrating their expanding fleet of Diamond Aircraft with such a fantastic event at their Groningen Airport HQ on 24 May 2024!
With 12 new single-engine DA40s and six twin-engine DA42s, KLM Flight Academy’s Diamond fleet is central to the flight school’s efforts to make flight training even more sustainable. Diamond aircraft are renowned for their quietness and fuel-efficiency, burning up to 50% less fuel and producing less CO2 emissions than their Avgas equivalents.
It was great to meet so many of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ future generation of pilots at the event, and our COO Michael Li was delighted to present our eDA40 project to the group and show footage of our all-electric prototype aircraft in action during recent test flights.
“We are proud that Diamond’s Austro Engine jet-fuel powered DA40 NG and DA42-VI are the first choice single and multi-engine trainer aircraft for KLM Flight Academy,” said Jane Wang, Sales Director, Diamond Aircraft Austria.
