On May, 20th 2010 more than 60 armament officers of 17 EU countries, Switzerland and Turkey, could get an impression of local high-technology in the field of security. At the premises of Diamond Aircraft Industries the latest version of the twin-engine surveillance aircraft could be examined during a live demonstration, as well as conversations with representatives of other companies in Vienna and Lower Austria could be held. Thus amongst others presented themselves Riegel Laser Measurement Systems, Riedel Communication Systems, Etas Hightech Hardware Systems and MLU, a company of Mödling, which had produced an instrument to measure successfully the proportion of the particles of volcano ash in the air. The visitors were particularly impressed by the efficiency of the collaboration of the numerous high tech companies in the region, the high level of innovation and the strong engagement in the field of research and development.
