On the 19th of September 2018 the last two out of a batch of four single DA40 NG training aircraft were delivered to the Austrian Armed Forces.
Lieutenant-Colonel Reinhard Kraft, who was aboard one of the planes: “Flying with the aircraft to the official aircraft acceptance ceremony was very exciting. I am pleased that the Austrian Armed Forces are now also training with Austrian products.”
The training aircraft from Diamond Aircraft will serve for IFR (Instrumental Flight Rules) training of PC7 flight instructors and pilots as well as for practical flight aptitude selection testing. Particular attention in the training aircraft selection was paid to exceptional efficiency, forgiving flight characteristics and a cockpit, that is perfectly suited for the training environment with the instructor and student on board.
Amila Spiegel, Sales & Marketing Director, Diamond Aircraft Industries Austria: “We are happy about the great collaboration with the Austrian Armed Forces. As a company headquartered in Austria we are honored to welcome the Austrian Armed Forces to our big family of fleet customers.”
