The aircraft is equipped with 28 full EASA certified antennas in total, including 16 antennas for mission purposes.
Matt Taiyeb, Director of FCSL, stated: “In combination with our recently developed, state-of-the-art, flight inspection system, the DA62 has the performance and payload we require to further optimise the delivery of flight inspection and calibration services, for airfield navigation aids, to airports worldwide. Add to this lower fuel burn, reduced emissions and reduced noise, and the DA62 is a great example of how FCSL is working to minimise the impact of its operations on the environment.”
Amila Karagic, Sales Director Civil Aircraft Sales at Diamond Aircraft Industries ads: „We all know Diamond’s specific advantages of the DA62, like composite structure, most modern avionic and of course the capability to operate with JET- A1 fuel. However, the larger body of the DA62 allocate an additional benefit in regards to other missions, like the provisions for the Flight Inspection System. The full EASA certified installation of 28 antennas in total, demonstrate the flexibility of using Diamond composite airplanes for such purposes. Flight Calibration will benefit in the future from faster turnaround times for each calibration cycle due to high speed approaches and sharp turn capabilities, the DA62’s low fuel burn as well as from lowest maintenance cost. “
