Icelandic flight training organization Keilir Aviation Academy has purchased a brand new jet-fuel Austro Engine AE300 powered DA40 Tundra Star - bringing the total number of training aircraft at the flight school to ten, consisting entirely of state-of-the-art Diamond Aircraft planes.
The school currently operates one of the most sophisticated fleet of Diamond training aircraft in Europe including five single-engine two-seater DA20, four single-engine four-seater DA40 and one twin-engine four-seater DA42.
Currently 100 pilot students are enrolled in private and professional pilot programs at Keilir Aviation Academy, a number that has grown exponentially over the past few years.
Stian Skovro and Alejandro Evangelista, flight instructors at Keilir Aviation Academy, received the new DA40 Tundra Star at Diamond Aircraft headquarters in Austria and ferried it to Keilir’s base in Iceland. The aircraft with the call sign TF-KFI arrived at her new home on Friday, 9th of September 2016.
